Strong cooking ability – lodge-standard food & presentation

• Able to manage kitchen independently, including large groups

• Lodge operations / guest relations experience

• Able to supervise and manage staff

• Strong people skills – calm, firm, respectful and approachable

• Hands-on and willing to assist wherever needed

• Couples will also be considered

Main Responsibilities:

Prepare high-quality meals for lodge guests and staff.

Plan menus and manage guest dietary requirements.

Maintain excellent kitchen hygiene and food-safety standards.

Manage kitchen stock, ordering, portion control and food costs.

Assist with guest hosting and overall guest experience.

Assist the Lodge Manager with the daily running of the lodge.

Supervise and motivate lodge staff.

Assist with housekeeping, F&B and general lodge operations when required.

Help maintain high standards throughout the lodge.

Deal professionally with guests and handle requests or problems.

Assist with purchasing, stock control and basic administration.

Be hands-on and willing to assist wherever necessary.

Salary: R18,000 to R20,000 including food and accommodation.

It would be preferable that the applicant has his/her own vehicle but it is not a strict requirement.
