Client & activity coordination.
General lodge operations.
Manage staff, duties & shifts, time management.
Serve & Host guests / Bar duties
Guest liaison, Housekeeping checks etc.
Work with Chefs – guest food dietaries.
Shopping trips
Check ins Check outs – billing
Stock takes
Some HR
Coordinating activities with guides
Guide set ups
Health & Safety
Sustainability checks
Senior Guide
Min FGASA Level 1 (prefer Trails guide)
Skippers License a bonus (will be expected to get a license)
Must have a PDP, FGASA, CATHSSETA, DEAT, FIRST AID, POLICE CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE
Basic knowledge of Plumbing, Electrics, Water pumps & systems, lodge repairs, Woodwork, basic building & repairs, grounds management.
A guide who is good with birds and loves the smaller things in nature, including medicinal plants, botanicals, trees etc.
DUTIES
Drives , Boat safaris, beach safaris, night drives.
Vehicle maintenance and checks, checking rangers vehicles & procedures to be followed.
Must be self motivated.
Hosting & bar duties & general assisting at the lodge when needed as back up.
SKILLS
Must have had experience at least 3 years experience in 3-5 Star Lodges.
Must have good traceable references.
Great people skills and good with staff.
Adaptable to owners ethics and management style.
Must be solid personalities, focus on hygiene & well presented.
Preferably non smokers.
(Must note that random breathalyzers and/or drug tests done randomly)

SALARY
R30,000 – R40,000 Neg per month- couple subject to experience and skill.
Guides get their own tip box with their own key.
Meals provided on duty.
Deductions: UIF, PAYE.
ACCOMMODATION
1 Bedroom air conditioned cottage with open plan lounge & kitchen & outdoor patio.
OR 2 Singles. (1 cottage & 1 bachelor room with own kitchenette & bathroom).
Regret no couples with children. (due to accommodation restraints)
